The U.S. House of Representatives have agreed to a bill 403 to 0. That is a miracle. This bill is designed to sell buildings that the federal government doesn’t need, want or can use. The maintenance cost alone is about $1.7 Billion dollars. Add that with the sales price of prime property, and the amount is real. Unfortunately, this bill doesn’t take into consideration the lands we no longer need.
All of this sound great, but don’t get too excited. Senator Reed hasn’t decided whether he, alone, will allow the U.S. Senate to consider the matter. By the time of the vote, the White House had not released a statement of policy on the bill. http://thehill.com/homenews/house/217085-house-instructs-administration-to-dispose-of-excess-federal-property.
I thought the Congress was the Legislative part of the government and the President could veto the bill, if desired. I guess Sen. Reed has abdicated his role to the Executive Branch negating the separation of powers. It now appears that His Excellency, the King and Supreme Ruler of the United States, Barack Obama is in charge of the of the Executive and Legislative Branches of the federal government leaving only the U.S. Supreme Court, which is powerless because Obama is also the Commander-in-Chief of the most powerful military forces in the world. I always thought Obama was a socialist, but now I must consider the possibility that he is a Communist.
Alright, you say how wrong I am. Consider this, Obama has already stated he will go around the House of Representatives, through Executive Orders and Departmental Regulations to get his policies established. Sure does not sound like a Republic to me.
This country is in financial difficulty. Sell off land and buildings we don’t need and cut the debt. This sounds great; however, we must not then spend the money, and you know that Congress loves to spend money. This President is worse than Congress, he loves to increase the debt by Trillions. It appears that Reed and Obama refuses to save money when it has no down side.
We must stop Obama and Reed NOW. Vote Tea Party.
