Gas War

The liberal press is saying that gas prices will not effect the November election. http://www.nytimes.com/2012/03/17/us/politics/gas-prices-matter-to-voters-but-they-matter-little-to-votes.html?hp

The liberals want to blame everyone and everything, except Obama, for the price of oil. Obama is even taking credit for things he did not do, like increased oil production on private and state lands. Conservatives know better. We know that he stopped oil production off the coast of everywhere. I believe that the American people would support privately funded green energy if Obama issued oil drilling permits everywhere.

I believe in this mathematical equation:  Energy Independence = Oil + Natural Gas + Nuclear + Hydroelectric + Coal + Wind +Solar + etc. I believe that all avenues should be explored, if non-government funds were used.

The ironic thing about drilling off our coast is that the environmentalists are afraid of oil spills. The president stopped oil leases to U.S. companies, but can’t stop other countries. We already know that Cuba plans to drill off the coast of Florida. What are the odds of an oil spill from Cuban wells vs. U.S. wells. Environmentalists, open your eyes, you are crippling our nation. What other nations are planning to drill oil off our coasts and possibly spill oil on our shores?

Finally, we must ask ourselves if Obama has a different agenda. Could it be possible he wants Muslim nations to get our money? I don’t know. Everyone needs to decide for themselves.

  1. Really. So lets see. Just a few quick numbers: Between june 2010 and febuary 2011 (9 months_ the Obama administration approved 39 shall water oil rigs.

And since the temporary moratorium following the deepwater horizon disaster, they approved (in less then 7 months time) 9 new deepwater permits, and one major new exploration plan. Out of a total of 45 permit requests, there are 7 approved, 12 pending, and 24 where more information was requested.

Likewise – drilling on public lands has increased 13% during the Obama administration.

But of course – cnservatives *know* better because they listen to what they are told rather then researching the facts.
